How is University Aggregate Calculated in Pakistan?

Every university in Pakistan uses a unique formula to calculate a student's final merit aggregate. This aggregate is used to rank applicants for admission into competitive degree programs.

NUST Formula

NUST heavily prioritizes its own entry test (NET). The standard formula is: 75% NET + 15% FSc/A-Levels + 10% Matric/O-Levels.

UET / FAST Formulas

UET generally uses: 30% ECAT + 70% FSc. FAST NU relies on: 50% NU Test + 50% FSc (though variations exist based on SAT or NTS NAT).
